"DEPRESSION IS A HORIBBLE PRISON WHERE YOU ARE BOTH THE SUFFERING PRISONER AND THE CRUEL JAILER."
THE IMPACT OF BULLYING

Teens who have been bullied usually experience both physical and mental health issues. People that have been bullied or is being bullied have probably experienced these things. 1) Depresson and anxiety. This is an increase in fellings of sadness and lonliness. The person's eating and sleeping patterns might have changed too. For more symptoms of depression, click on the button at the bottom of the text. 2) The victim's grades might have gone down dramatically. Their GPA will probably drop, and they are the most likely to drop out, miss, or skip school. Another impact is suicide. The victim usually commits suicide after having depression for a long period of time. This happens when the bullying has escalated to the point where the person can't take it anymore and thinks they aren't needed in the world. Some symptoms of a person in danger of committing suicide are mentioning suicide to friends or family, feelings of hopelessness, and tying up loose ends such as visiting or calling the people the victim cares about. Based on research, a person commits suicide every 40 seconds. Therefore, there are a lot of reasons to stop bullying, so speak up and save a life (StopBullying.gov, 2011).
